Online Marketing & Analytics Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an Online Marketing & Analytics Manager to join our team at BioWare Mythic in Fairfax, VA to drive marketing and analytics for our current and future portfolio of successful online games. This is a broad, hands on role, requiring a passion for online games, social media and a data and metrics driven approach. As a key member of the BioWare Mythic team you will be working with the talented individuals on our product teams as well as with functional peers within BioWare and across the EA Games Label to help us define the future of online games.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the development and execution of global online marketing plans, including:

  • Web, social apps, content creation, landing pages, and SEO
  • Manage performance based online customer acquisition programs including CPM/CPC/CPA based display advertising and paid search campaigns
  • Partnering with Producer, PM & PR to ensure online campaign amplifies marketing messages
  • Responsible for all online marketing efforts and ensuring they are in alignment with overall goals and brand tenets

Act as an e-commerce expert within the BioWare Mythic

  • Set best practices in the areas of catalogue management, offers, pricing (item level and currency funding level), promotion, e-commerce user flows and usability, merchandizing tools, payment instruments by region, etc.
  • Co-operate with Producers and game teams to optimize offerings and drive results
  • Benchmark and collect competitive intelligence in the area of monetization / storefront management
  • Drive and measure results through effective CRM communications

Responsible for the Consumer Experience across online channel touch points

Define business goals for web site, web applications and social media channels, set the KPIs, and deliver them

  • Set and manage the delivery of product ARPU / LTV goals

Represent BioWare Mythic in e-commerce policy and roadmap meetings
Maintain an ongoing dialog with your functional peers in other parts of EA
Deliver post-mortems and best practices

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of and passion for games, gamer culture, and online trends
  • Strong experience and passion for social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Creative and resourceful thinking and the ability to make decisions and organize thoughts under time and budget constraints
  • Excellent writing and editing skills — both creative and technical
  • Good internal networker
  • Able to develop strategic, long term plans and launch initiatives/campaigns
  • Able to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects at one given the same time
  • Able to offer guidance, support and assistance to other team members
  • Strong attention to detail and verbal communication skills

Experience/Background:

  • New Media/Marketing degree or equivalent qualifications desirable
  • Experience in defining, evaluating, and defending ROI of online/community marketing initiatives
  • Understanding of the evolution of online marketing technologies and strategies; understands marketing, the importance of social technologies and online community relationships, and the ability to explain the foregoing to partners, stakeholders, and executives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience with analytics software (e.g. Omniture SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics) and project planning (e.g. MS Project) is a preferred.
